Brushing the Dust Off

A couple of years ago I taught myself how to paper piece quilt blocks (with the help of YouTube, of course). My first endeaver into the world of paper piecing hangs proudly on my wall is stored neatly in the drawer where I left it…a couple years ago. That piece, when it’s finished, will be an artistic rendition of the entire Greek alphabet. Why the Greek alphabet? Because, Physics…everything in life leads us back to Physics. The Greek alphabet is used profusely throughout the many formulas physicists use to solve all matters of the universe. I’m five Greek letters in…several to go. Another time.

Today I finished up a new paper pieced pattern – Globe – from Zenchic. This beauty is on its way to my Modern Quilt Guild meeting where it will travel from quilter to quilter each month during our “round robin” exchange. At the end of the year I will get it back with 10-12 additions created by other members of our group.

I will try to post updates from our monthly meetings as the year progresses. I’m so excited to see what these creative ladies decide to do!
