On Friday March 15, 2019, nearly 17 years after we got married, I officially changed my last name to Gyde!
Oh sure, I’ve used Gyde in all the important places since we got married…on my drivers license, college diplomas, children’s birth certificates, etc…but I didn’t officially change my name with Social Security until now.
I wanted to be sure it would work out! No need to rush into anything!

Proud of you. I did that half way through my first marriage when I got a revelation about my own lack of commitment. I think I was leaving the back door open, (that is not you, you are one committed lady), but it was a heart thing for me. Good on you!
